Welcome to Wescott's Online!
What started out as a part-time franchised furniture stripping business over 40 years ago, (1969), by my Father, Arthur Wescott, has turned into a full service, one stop 8,000 sq. ft., furniture stripping and refinishing facility.
Over the years, we have refurbished the contents of courthouses, school furniture, church pews, and display racks for Champion Sporting Goods that has been set up in various stores across the country.
These are just a few of the things that we have done in the past. Today, we provide the best restoration results for your furniture. We can remove simple varnishes and finishes from your furniture or remove the toughest of paints and varnishes.
We can replace broken chair spindles, and re-glue loose chair joints. Missing hardware? We have a selection of reproduction hardware to replace it with. Broken cane chair set? We can either replace the seat for you, or provide you with materials in order to "do it yourself". We have about one of the largest stocks of cane supplies in Central NY.
One of my Father's favorite sayings was, "be a job big or small, do it right or not at all." Whether we are restoring your 10-piece dining room set or stripping your footstool; if it's important to you, it's important to us to give our best effort to obtain the results that you expect.
When deciding on whether to have your furniture restored or not, ask yourself the following questions:
- Is the piece itself worth it?
- Is it worth it to me?
- Is it a unique piece in my opinion?
If you have answered yes to any one of these questions, then it is worth the time to have us take a look at your furniture. (Your house or bring it to our shop.) We will give you our honest opinion of what to expect from your furniture and from us.
Give us a call. Some things ARE worth keeping!
Thank you for your interest,

"Some things ARE worth keeping!"
